Weezer Minneapolis Concert reviews
Who says a FUNK band can’t play ROCK!
The show had an extraordinary vibe! These musicians are some of the most incredible of our era, with some of the grooviest tunes ever produced. It had been well over a year since Parliament Funkadelic graced the stage in Atlanta. They mature like high-quality wine, sounding better with each and every performance! The set was outstanding, and the Funk was raw, unadulterated, the BOMB! We were treated to Parliament classics, as well as Funkadelic tracks dating back to “I Just Want To Testify”. One of the most remarkable guitar solos captivated the crowd, with moves like behind the neck, under the leg, rolling on the floor, face down, on your back, neck only, scraping across a metal chair, all the while delivering hypnotic rhythmic melodies. AMAZING! There was just one issue, shortly after leading a chant with everyone chiming in - “Ain’t no party like a Funk party cause a Funk party don’t stop!” both the audience and the band were surprised when the venue decided to conclude the show prematurely We crave the Funk! & We require the Funk to make a swift return, perhaps to a different location…might I propose ‘Center Stage’ where time is of no concern, as the FUNK intensifies and the celebration can go on as long as both the band and the audience can endure each other. So, grab your tickets in advance and let's display to Weezer that we are eager for their comeback for yet another sold-out event!
